Hi, I’m Colby! I am currently completing my Bachelor of General Studies at Thompson Rivers University, with areas of study in English and business. I am most interested in entertainment and lifestyle journalism, particularly stories involving popular culture, trends, and everyday experiences. I enjoy the creative side of storytelling and am interested in learning how photography, audio, and video can add to a written story. For my multimedia project, I plan to explore viral food trends and the way popular recipes move from social media into people’s kitchens. I hope to examine what makes certain recipes capture people’s attention online and how that popularity influences what people choose to make at home.
